Position Overview 

Third Derivative (D3) is seeking an Ecosystem Success Manager for Startups to manage the cohort portfolio and guide startups through the accelerator program. This position sits within the Ecosystem Success Team, working closely with fellow stakeholder leads and under the leadership of D3’s COO. This individual will also manage more junior Ecosystem Success Associates.

The primary objectives of the position include: overseeing accelerator program execution; track, measure, and monitor support requests from startups; and enhance overall startup experience during the 18-month program. Key results of this position would include increasing the net promoter score (NPS) of cohort startups and increasing speed, quality, and scalability of tailored support delivered to startups.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Oversee D3 Connectors that serve as primary points of contact for cohort startups

  • Optimize process by which we collect, track, measure, and execute upon startup support requests

  • Design and oversee various phases of the accelerator program

  • Identify and develop startup-only and intra-ecosystem program offerings including, but not limited to, peer-to-peer meetings, pitch clinics, deal days, and expert office hours

  • Continually gather data and input from cohort startups to enhance program offerings

  • Facilitate intra-ecosystem collaboration between cohort startups, mentors, investors, and corporate partners

Minimum Qualifications 

  • At least 5+ years in the climate, energy or startup support sectors, including experience working as a consultant and/or early stage startup founding team member

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, environment, economics, engineering, or related discipline

  • Experience leading teams and managing complex project portfolios 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

  • Extremely detail oriented and organized

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Climate warrior with a demonstrated track record of building or championing climate tech innovation 

  • Master’s level degree, equivalent, or higher, in sustainability, environment, economics, engineering, business or related discipline

  • Experience working with large corporations and investors in support of startup dealmaking

Compensation:   

The salary range for this position is $103,000-$121,000. This role has an additional 10% annual bonus target.  Salary to be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
