We are currently seeking an Analyst to join the Carbon Containment Lab (CC Lab) team.

This is an opportunity to help create a lasting, positive impact in an applied research setting. The CC Lab develops, pilots and implements innovative carbon containment and nature-based climate solutions, and aims to contribute to the containment of one billion metric tons of COby 2100.

The Analyst will help create cutting-edge solutions to tackle climate change by contributing to defining, implementing, and completing analysis and field assignments in support of CC Lab applied research and development projects. The position is responsible for designing and executing research and analysis. In addition, the position requires collaboration with stakeholders and decision-makers to understand their objectives and challenges. We are especially interested in candidates who are passionate about solving climate change issues, who are adept at navigating multiple disciplines, and who love to make things happen.

Successful candidates should have a Master’s degree in a scientific discipline and at least 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, demonstrated through a record of coursework and professional experience, including but not limited to: Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering. Candidates must be familiar with spatial analysis tools (particularly ArcGIS), data analysis tools (such as Python), and/or life-cycle analysis (LCA) and techno-economic analysis (TEA).  Candidates should have an expert understanding of climate change and environmental sustainability challenges, demonstrated interest in nature-based, technology or engineering approaches to carbon removal, and a passion for nature and the environment.
