Senior Sales Professional

Do you thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoy multitasking? If yes, The Climate Board needs you on our sales team.

The Climate Board is seeking an experienced sales professional who can drive membership sales growth, manage the sales pipeline, help close existing leads, and work to refine sales processes. This position requires someone capable of engaging in technical and business-related conversations at senior levels, and takes a consultative approach to selling research-based memberships. As one of the first members of our Commercial team, you will be essential to setting the culture of a high-performing organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Meet established sales targets as a direct seller including identifying and initiating new sales opportunities, navigating multiple stakeholders within an organization and negotiating and closing contracts
  • Manage sales process including overseeing sales meetings, organizing appropriate tracking and follow up from all outreach and generating internal insights from Commercial team to increase close-to-lead ratio
  • Deliver convincing presentations that create a sense of urgency
  • Represent The Climate Board at industry and company-sponsored events
  • Maintain knowledge of The Climate Board’s evolving research and competitive landscape​

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of B2B sales experience
  • Record of highly effective sales production and target attainment
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving and the ability to influence key decision-makers
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and CRM systems
  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.

 

Preferred

  • Extensive experience interacting with Senior- and Executive-level prospects
  • Extensive experience selling business services (syndicated research) within a membership model
  • Experience managing an organized, highly efficient sales process
  • Training and utilization of Challenger sales methodology
  • Alliance with The Climate Board’s Mission (see description)
