Position Summary

The purpose of this grant-funded position is to manage and support the Urban Future Lab’s efforts to operate dedicated cleantech programming and to increase outreach to potential companies, partners, investors, and the public in a strategic manner. This position will design and implement new strategies and accelerator programs to support UFL as it actively engages in the cleantech field and seeks new companies for the ACRE incubator and related programming. The Manager, Urban Future Lab Programs  will work closely with the Managing Director and other project managers on the team to grow the incubator and support the due diligence process for companies seeking entrance into the incubator. This position will create and  manage new and existing programs at the Urban Future Lab and also assist start ups.  This is 3 year fixed term position.

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in a related area            

Required Experience

5+ years experience in a related field and prior experience with start-up companies.       

Preferred Experience        

5+ years experience in managing and building start up companies and equity funding for startups, experience in clean energy industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience in managing and building relationships across sectors (ex: academia, tech startups, government, and corporations).  Excellent written communication skills and demonstrated success as a self-starter.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience in using Zoom, Slack, and Google Suite.  Must have good computer skills and familiarity with data collection and analysis. Familiarity or past experience with Airtable is preferred.
